Butterfly Park, Mysore

Butterfly Park is located in the nature park surrounding the Karanji Lake at Mysore. So far about 45 species of butterflies have been identified here.

Among many other butterflies we spotted the common Dark Blue Tiger butterfly.

In this park there are various nectar plants are grown that are essential for the breeding of butterflies.

The park is also visited my many birds every now and then.

They're all lovely, but that last dragonfly is spectacular!

I tried looking it up, didn't see an Indian dragonfly that matched...but here is the Australian Tiger.

Nice birds and the dragon fly is so pretty and the wings so fairy like and they are quick in flight. You got a great picture of it.

What a great place to take photos! I could stay there all day looking at the wonderful colors. I like the way you connected the branch in the top tow shots of the mosaic.
