Madhav National Park

There are several National Parks in Madhya Pradesh. Prominent among them are: Kanha National Park, Bandhavgarh National Park, Madhav National Park. Since it is required minimum 1 day time to enjoy the wildlife, landscape we had not planned our time for the park in this trip.

Madhav National Park established in 1958 is 156 sq. km in area. This park is open
through out the year. The forest here is dry forest across the hilly region and flat grasslands around the lakes. The animals most seen in the park are Deer, nilgai, Sambar, Antelope, Blackbuck, Leopard, Langur. Apart from these there are other animals like Tiger, Heyna are also present here.

We got a glimpse of wildlife while boating in the lake on the edge of National Park. The above shot is taken while boat is moving.

  5. Hi Rajesh:)

Beautiful photo of the dear drinking water. The surroundings are just fantastic.

I see frequent advertisements saying that tiger population in India is declining.

Madhya Pradesh is a wonderful place.

Your write up was very interesting.

    Have a nice day Rajesh:)

You are opening my eyes to what India is like. I've always thought it was like the cities, crowded with people. It's interesting to see that India is far more than that.

  25. Lovely reflection on the water, but it's the animals in the park that are so much more beautiful. I hope that you will always be able to preserve that space for them.

How fascinating! We would not even have this many animals in a zoo Australia. We do have lots of kangaroos, though. Perhaps I will post some photos for you.
