Maharashtra Trip

After a gap of 2 years, I am venturing out on a trip. I am heading to Maharashtra for 9 days. This trip will give me some idea how much my back has healed after lower back problem that started last year. I am planning most of the trip by train wherever possible.

I will be able to complete the full trip without recurring my lower back problem. I intend to cover the following places: Pune, Aurangabad, Shirdi and Mumbai.

  6. Travel safely. I can certainly relate to back problems. Over 25 years ago, when I was a nurse in the operating room, I slipped on hydraulic fluid that leaked, unknown to us, from a orthopedic table we were using for surgery. I was hurrying out of the room to get blood when I slipped on the marble floor in that pool of slick oil. I ruptured three discs on both sides of my spinal canal. After three months of physical therapy, I finally had to undergo back surgery. I've continued to have chronic pain and now, at 66, I have both cervical and lumbar spinal stenosis. I really don't want to undergo surgery again though my doctors recommend it.

Take care and emjoy your trip.

  7. We watched a programme about the Indian railways last night - fascinating and so efficient. We could all learn a lot from India:-)
I hope your back behaves itself!
