  12. Quite a lot of pelicans, Rajesh. They are the state bird of Louisiana and my nursing school pin features the head of a pelican ( I went to school in New Orleans and will attend my 50th nursing school reunion in mid Oct, flying directly back from India for the occasion. I return to India May 6th after a 5 month stay at home.

My posting is of my little two-year-old granddaughter, Harper, enjoying the new chickens in our family.

  13. They appear to be fishing cooperatively as do our American White Pelicans. Our Brown Pelicans are solitary feeders.

  16. I haven't seen pelicans, but I've seen flamingos in Sewri in Bombay, where they migrate from god-knows-where. It looks As if the lake is on fire.

The pelicans look so lovely! I can imagine how they must be looking in real!
