Bangalore known as Garden City true to its name as lot of flowering trees on either side of most of the roads. They bloom with flowers of various colors. One such tree is African Tulip Tree also known as Spathodea Campanulata.
The cup shaped deep-orange flowers attract nectar-feeding birds and insects. The flower buds form a ball-shaped cluster and these buds contain water. The outer buds bloom first before the inner ones. The flowers in clusters stand out from the rest of the green foliage around it.

Hi, You have a very nice blog here. Your flowers, and flowering trees are so pretty, and colourful. So nice to see, as we are just beginning our Spring Season, and there are no Spring flowers as of yet, but it won't be long, as our days will soon begin to warm up. We have many birds that have returned, and that is a wonderful sign of Spring for us here where I live, In Canada.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit to my blog, and nice comment.
Have a wonderful day!
Dianne :)
