Lovely, colorful bird and a terrific shadow shot for the day, Rajesh! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!Sylvia
It reminds me very much of an emu. I love its colorful head!
This is an exotic bird generally found in Guinea and parts of Australia.

Love the strong colours on the neck of this bird contrasting with the darkness of its body!

That's a very interesting bird. It looks quite large, and has a very colorful head and neck.
I like cassowaries, they're so improbable looking :).
Very unique!
Thank you all.
Beautiful and colourful bird!
Wow he's a beauty!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
Wonderful image Rajesh!!
Interesting bird and great photo.
When my children were small we went to the zoo weekly during the summer. They absolutely loved it!!Such a nice picture. Animals do not always play nice when being photographed but you got a very pic.
All of these ostrich-type birds are so funny to watch! The cassowary is definitely the prettiest of them.
a relative to the Emu maybe. :)
Nice post!
Wow ! Nice click. I havn't witnessed this bird yet. Looking different :)
such a beautiful looking bird. they are supposedly very dangerous :(
Been to this, its really nice and worth visiting..
Love to visit zoo anytime..... I was at Mysore in 2006, but missed the zoo as the trip was an official one and time was short... Visited few other places including the Mysore palace off course....... Loved the picture.....Kenfolios
