Chennai, the capital of state of Tamil Nadu is known for its cultural heritage and temple architecture. It is the industrial and commercial center as well as it is a major cultural, economic and educational center in South India.
In the ancient period it was under the control of Chola and Pallava Dynasty, but modern city arose from the British settlement of Fort St. George. Later surrounding villages were merged along with it to become what it today a metropolitan city.
It is the "Automobile Capital of India", as forty percent of the automobile industry is based out of this place and major portion of the nation's vehicles are produced there.

Of all things I would never have thought of, the fact that your country has an 'automobile capital' may be the top one. I'm woefully ignorant. Now that I think of it, of course you have to have manufacturing. The carvings as always are beautiful, I love the touches of blue.
