I am the few of the fortunate who occasionally get to see few birds of different variety around my house in Bangalore. I have captured few of them in my camera and here they are. One such beautiful bird is Asian Koel. Here are few snaps of the family.
We have a pair of koels frequenting our neighborhood. In addition we also have a pair of crow pheasants regularly dropping into our compound.
ReplyDelete2 buds i guess never saw the like before thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteBeautiful capture on the couple! We used to treat these birds once in our previous neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteI learnt on Wikipedia that this bird is like the cuckoo and lays its eggs in the nests of others!

ReplyDeleteNIce captures. I assume this is a male and female. They look similar to cuckoos.
ReplyDeleteI like the look of these birds.....they remind me of a cross between a Cuckoo and a Bronzed Cowbird.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. I will now educate myself and find out if these are the same species that frequent Australia
