Birds in Neighbourhood - 18

I am the few of the fortunate who occasionally get to see few birds of different variety around my house in Bangalore. I have captured few of them in my camera and here they are. One such beautiful bird is Asian KoelHere are few snaps of the family.

We have a pair of koels frequenting our neighborhood. In addition we also have a pair of crow pheasants regularly dropping into our compound.

Beautiful capture on the couple! We used to treat these birds once in our previous neighborhood.

I learnt on Wikipedia that this bird is like the cuckoo and lays its eggs in the nests of others!

Great photos of the Koels. I wonder if they are the same kind that come down here in the summer - they look like it!

NIce captures. I assume this is a male and female. They look similar to cuckoos.

I like the look of these birds.....they remind me of a cross between a Cuckoo and a Bronzed Cowbird.

Thanks for sharing. I will now educate myself and find out if these are the same species that frequent Australia
