Someshwara Beach, Ullal

Someshwara Beach is located in Ullal. It is at the confluence of the Netravati River and the Arabian Sea.

The beach is still in a pristine condition as it is not visited by many tourists. The endless golden sands are ideal for walking or sunbathing. There are a large number of rocks on the beach.

The presence of hidden rocks along this stretch of the coast make this each unsuitable for swimming.

Nagoa Beach, Diu

A trip to Diu is not complete without a visit to one of the many beaches here. Being a place on  the sea shore there are plenty of beaches here one adjacent to each other.

We visited one of the famous beaches, the Nagoa Beach located in the Nagoa hamlet of Bucharwada village. Around the beach there are row of hoka trees.

In Mumbai at the top of Malabar Hill is the beautiful park, Kamal Nehru Park. It is named after Kamala Nehru, the wife of India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.

Here, the interesting structure is a shoe-shaped structure, called Boot house. Other noteworthy structure is Ashok stumba. The shoe lace is beautifully tied in 'X' style.

From the park one can have the great view of Chowpatty Beach and also Marine Drive (Queen's Necklace). The panoramic view of the city attracts lot of visitors all through the year.

Mahatma Gandhi

Mahatma Gandhi was born on 2nd October, 1869 in Porbandar. He completed his basic education in India and then moved on to London to study Law. After that he practiced law in South Africa.

Later he returned back to India in 1915 to join he freedom struggle against British. He led Indians in protesting the British-imposed salt tax with the 250 mile Dandi Salt March.

He practiced non-violence and truth in all situations, and advocated that others do the same. He lived modestly in a self-sufficient residential community and wore the traditional Indian dhoti and shawl, woven with yarn he had hand spun on a charkha.

With his principles he forced British to free India from their clutches.

What is Real Beauty?

What does beauty means to you? Is there anything real and unreal about the beauty? Beauty means different things to everyone. There is no one common agreed answer for this.

Is it the innocence on the face of young kids playing in a old temple premises?

Is is the scenic winding route in the countryside?

Is it the famous sculpture of lady looking into the mirror in the temple of the Belur?

Is it this flower?

Is it the scenic view of the Kapu beach with the palm trees on its shore?

To me it is innocent smile on the face of the kids who are engrossed in their own world? This beauty one can only seen in the kids who are still untempered by this cunning ways of this World.

What about you?
