Cattle at Bhitarkanika

Bhitarkanika National Park is home for many common as well as rare birds. We can also see cattle in and around the place.

Here we spotted egrets and myna around cattle on the river-front.

Nice pictures/The place looks a bit dry though. Insufficient rainfall I presume.

I love national parks, when governments preserve areas for future generations. The wildlife there looks great!

We have what we call 'cattle egrets" because of how they like to hang around them like yours do!

The buffalo is least bothered by the birds roaming around near it.

It is a national park, how cattle grazing is allowed? What are other wildlife present in the part?

It's sad to see cattle in Bhitarkanika. It's illegal. I hope the authorities take action.
