Riverside Palace, Gondal

The Riverside Palace in Gondal one of the many palaces in this city. Presently this property is a heritage hotel where one can taste of royal splendour.

This magnificent structure was built in 1880 by Maharajah Bhagwat Sinhji for the then Crown Prince of Gondal. It has a well furnished living room with colonial style with chandelier, antique wooden furniture and sofas.

We could not take snaps inside as it was not allowed.

Now, that would be a $$$$$$$ place to stay for a weekend. It is such a beautiful old structure. The outside is so interesting at which to look. Love that tree with it branches leaning in front of it. genie

Wow. One I am done admiring this photo, I am google up Gondal and then plan how soon I can to see all it's heritage properties. This palace looks like straight out of some fancy Hollywood colonial era film.
Beautifully captured.
