Temi Tea Garden, Ravangla

The Temi Tea Garden in Ravangla, considered one of the best in India and in the world. It is established in 1969 by the Government of Sikkim.

It is the only tea garden in Sikkim. The garden is laid over a gradually sloping hill covering an area of 177 hectares.

So lush. I hope they have more than one worker collecting tea (I assume that is the purpose of the basket?)

I have always loved photos of tea plantations -it like a moment in history that hasn't changed much. Gorgeous setting.

Good to see this nice tea garden. Actually, I missed it when I went Ravangla. When we came to this Garden, the sunset over and the garden was covered with the mist. We only bought a packet of Temi tea from the local shop. NIce picture.
