The Western Group of Temples in Khajuraho (State: Madhya Pradesh) are one of the most magnificent and architecturally marvelous temples of India. This is the largest of the three groups of temples in Khajuraho. Out of the 22 surviving temples 12 of them belong to this group.
Built in the 11th century by Chandela rulers, each of these temple stands on a raised platform, above which rises the main structure.
