At a distance of 24 kms from Khajuraho is Ken Gharial Sanctuary. Here the Ken river passes through the granite rocks of different shades of colors, pink, red, misty white, green and gray.
The When Ken river running over the rocky terrain forms beautiful waterfalls, the Raneh Falls. Though the fall is only 30m high, it looks gorgeous when the gushing waters falls on vibrant rocks. The falls are set in the back drop of lusting greenery of pristine forests.
The entry to this park is closed during the rainy season. During the rainy season in 2008, there was so much rain that, there was no sign of waterfalls, the water was up till the top covering the falls.

I hope you didn't get too close to the edge. It looks a bit scary!
Wonderful post Rajesh. I have often said that I "collect" waterfalls. We have our favorites and always try to explore places where they are when we're traveling in the US. Yours is so beautiful; would love to see it, but since I can't come there, thank you for sharing your view.
How incredible that it poured so hard that the waterfalls were completely covered in rain. What a magical place of subtle colors!
the view is simply fantastic.
happy holidys.
Very scenic and impressive landscape!
I like the variety of the colours in the granite. Lovely photos.
Beautiful rocks and waterfalls.
It is interesting to see the waterfall in two different lights. Now it is nothing but a pile of rocks I am sure once the water starts to flow, it will be a whole new wonder of nature. Thank you for sharing the photo.
I'm curious to know how you discover these places, considering that many of them don't find a mention popularly!
This is beautiful waterfall. I really like the rocky setting around it. Thanks for sharing this with us.
wonderful light and shot!
Nice to find waterfall among the rocks. I sure do not want to fall from the cliff. I have a fear for heights...lol.
So gorgeous!

This is a side of India I saw (probably) for the first time today. It's beautiful!
There is something special about waterfalls, isn't there...? Nice post, Rajesh.
The rocky scenery is gorgeous. Just the perfect setting for a waterfall. How grand it would look with a huge volume of water gushing down !
Thanks for commenting on my entry. Your "World" looks gorgeous and wild. I would love to visit if I have a chance:) Very well captured. Thanks for sharing.
