Birdwatching at Sinhagad

Sinhagad is an important fortress located at a distance of 30 kms from Pune. The fort is perched on an isolated cliff of the Bhuleswar range of the Sahyadri Mountains.

During our excursion to this fort in the picturesque location, we were dumbstruck by the beauty of the surroundings. I had least idea I will be able to see any birds at a such height. Suddenly we saw a small bird flying around.

It sat on the branch of a isolated leafless tree extending out from the edge of the hill where the fort was located. I was more than happy to snap it.

Amazing to find such a small bird at such a great height! You would think that only the big guys nested there! Stunning views!

A wonderful landscape to see..

Wow, you were up very high. The dead branches look like the only place for the bird to take a good rest and pose for you. :)
