I find fossilized plants and trees absolutely fascinating, it's an open window in pre-history...makes you feel so small!
Incredible! And how wonderful that we can still see and touch something so very old! What an amazing world we live in! Have a wonderful week, Rajesh!

Rajesh - I can't even imagine that span of time! Did it feel like rock? It's girth is immense.

wow, that is a huge tree fossil! Awesome to see.
Wow, 20 million years is incomprehendisable. Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
Tree fossils are impressive. There are some spectacular ones near us, there's a national park dedicated to them.
is there a hole for children to hide. 20 million years is beyond comprehension.
. . and a great fossil it is, of a remarkable size as well.
Thank you for posting this.
Wow must be a very huge tree.
the tree looks intriguing. great find and thanks for sharing.
Fascinating. We have a "forest" of fossilized trees in the western part of the U.S. I remember visiting The Petrified Forest as a child and buying a small piece for a souvenir...don't know what happened to it, though.
Amazing to ponder how really old this tree is! thanks for sharing
This is a grand tree fossil, unlike the ones i seen in Ooty and childrens park here. I have been to lal bagh, but i miss checking this.
Oh it must have been a very huge tree. I prefer that this is displayed inside a covered area or a museum, so the elements and rain will not erode it slowly, that it can still last for longer time!
An amazing sight!
impressive structure, and natural.

Very interesting. Always thought it was cool how things like trees and sea shells can polymorph into stone.
WOW! Fantastic!
Amazing, imagine what the world was like when it was young. Like what you did with the sign.
that is really amazing
That is a huge piece of petrified wood. We saw many smaller pieces of petrified wood in our Petrified Forest National Park this past June.
Thank you all for appreciating age old fossil of the tree.
So interesting!
Amazing. I have seen a petrified Redwood tree at Calistoga years ago, I was so busy looking at it I nearly stepped on a snake.
Love that! Pretty cool:)
