In Bhitarkanika National Park we hired a boat and cruised in the lake. After cruising for hours we got down from the boat on a different shore. We could spot some birds there and one of them is the Rose-ringed Parakeet.
They are gregarious tropical Afro-Asian parakeet species that has an extremely large range. They are one of few parrot species that have successfully adapted to changed living styles.
In the wild, this is a noisy species with an unmistakable squawking call.

They now breed in England Rajesh. Escapees from captivity established populations in the wild in a few places.

I know this species only too well as we have hundreds if not thousands here in London. Their squarking is unmistakeable.

Pretty colors!!!!!
Lovely clicks on the parakeet! Great spotting
Parrots are certainly known to be adaptable. And loud. Even though I know they aren't native here, I'd love to see one.

Love the bird and the shot!
I did not know parakeets got this large. It looks more like a parrot to me...but I am not a birder. The coloration is beautiful and your capture is wonderful.
