Sita Temple, Avani

At Avani which is near Kollar is a small hillock with references to the time of Hindu epic Ramayana. It is believed that Sita mata stayed in this place during her separation of Lord Rama

At the top of the hillock is a temple dedicated to Sitamata. The temple is relatively new and to reach this place and one has to walk up to the top o the hill.

From the hill one can get a view of the village and fields.

The skies may be gray, but they're the perfect background for the lovely, colorful temple!! Thanks for sharing, as always, Rajesh!! Enjoy your weekend!

somehow it's so appropriate to climb up to a temple/church to pay your respect.

that's a wonderful view. I wonder if you could trek down that rocky path? My son wants to know as he likes to walk where there is not concrete path

I'm always amazed by the mix of shapes in relief like hard stones, green vegetation and spots of waters besides the blue sky!! And not to forget the spiritual part.... the lovely side of comunity represented through the so bright coloured aspect of the temple to define the spiritual dimension of region! By the way: those pelicans at the lake... such an picturesque view!! All the best for this weekend!
