Birds in Neighbourhood - 1

I am the few of the fortunate who occasionally get to see few birds of different variety around my house in Bangalore. I have captured few of them in my camera and here they are.

One such beautiful bird is Oriental White-eye bird. This is a small bird with yellowish olive upper parts, a white eye ring, yellow throat and vent. The belly is whitish grey but may have yellow in some subspecies.

They forage in small groups, feeding on nectar and small insects. They are easily identified by the distinctive white eye-ring and overall yellowish upper-parts.

That is a lovely little bird, Rajesh. I hope this time in India - though I'll probably be in Mumbai for six months with an occasional visit elsewhere ( arrive 3 June ).

Even though the feathers are so yellow, the little one can still merge well with the green leaves! Lovely photos!
