In Gangtok close to Tashi View point is Ganesh Tok, a temple of Lord Ganesha. It's located at an altitude of 6,500 ft.
This is a small temple that can be reached by climbing few number of steps.
Opposite to the temple is a small glass panel room from where one can get panoramic view of the entire town of Gangtok, and mount Kanchenjunga if whether is kind on you.
Nearby there is small garden with beautiful flowers.
On our way to Lachen in North Sikkim from Gangtok we came across beautiful scenes and water falls. One such water fall just 32 kms away is Seven Sisters Waterfalls.
There are quite a few waterfalls on the way and this is a place where one has to break to savour the pristine beauty and to be with nature.
This lovely falls is named so because it can be seen that water in the waterfall falls cascades in seven stages.
This serene waterfall can be seen in three distinct tiers. One can climb a few steps gives a beautiful view of the waterfall in the upper stages.
This is a ideal place for break up for the tourists travelling to North Sikkim.
Hanuman Tok in Gangtok is a highly reverred and holy temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman, located at an altitude of 7200 ft.
As per legend, Hanuman while on his way to Lanka fro the Himalayas with the Sanjeevani herb to cure Lakshman, took a moments rest in this palce. In 1950 a political officer named Appaji Pant erected the idol of Lord Hanuman here.
There is a temple of Sirdi Saibaba here as well just right of Lord Hanuman Temple.
Our tour of Sikkim started from its capital Gangtok. We had reached this place late in the night and we were welcomed by chilling cold. Next day morning we stated the local tour of this beautiful place that is located in the higher peaks of Eastern Himalayan range, at an elevation of 1650 m. The name of the city when translated to local language means "Hill Top".
In the early 20th century, this place was part of trade route between Lhasa in Tibet and Indian city Kolkata. Today, it is a centre of Tibetan Buddhist culture and learning.

The place is a natural beauty with lot of greenery and wild flowers all around. One can also enjoy here the flower show. From some areas of the city magnificent Kanchanjunga peak can be viewed. The city is one of the cleanest city in India. M G Road is the popular shopping destination of the area.
