Kamala Nehru Park, Mumbai
In Mumbai at the top of Malabar Hill is the beautiful park, Kamal Nehru Park. It is named after Kamala Nehru, the wife of India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.
It covers an area of 4,000 square feet. The park has a lot of greenery with a small play area for children.
Here, the interesting structure is a shoe-shaped structure, called Boot house. Other noteworthy structure is Ashok stumba. The shoe lace is beautifully tied in 'X' style.
From the park one can have the great view of Chowpatty Beach and also Marine Drive (Queen's Necklace). The panoramic view of the city attracts lot of visitors all through the year.

Beetle Bug in Hebbal Park
Hebbal Lake in north Bangalore is favorite spot for photography enthusiasts and birds and various insects.
On one of my visits to the park, I spotted beetle bug.
Here are some of the shots of the bug that I had attempted of taking while it is in action.
I followed it for some time to click all that I could. Finally it sat in one place for me to take a decent shot.

Udaipur, City of Lakes and more
Apart from the City Place, this city has lot more to offer. There are beautiful temples and parks that are worth a visit.
Lake Palace
Lake Palace is one of the most beautiful places. The Palace situated amidst the scenic Pichola Lake. It was constructed by Maharana Jai Singh II in 1746. Raised in white marble, the magnificent palace stretches across four-acre island. Other name of this palace is Jag Niwas named after the King.

The wonderful architecture of the Lake Palace comprises of may courtyards. Each of these courtyards are aligned with numerous columns, terraces. The palace has many beautiful fountains and well laid gardens. The palace has several beautiful rooms by the name of Bada Mahal, Khush Mahal, Ajjan Niwas, Phool Mahal and Dhola Mahal. These exotic rooms are decked with carved arches, paintings, crystal work, stained glass work, inland stones of pink and green lotus leaves.Lake Palace

Currently, this palace has been transformed into a five-star hotel that is managed by Taj Group of Hotels. Special thanks to my friend Raghu for this picture. When we had visited the place there was not much water in the lake. He had clicked this snap on his earlier visit.
Jagadish Temple
The temple is located 150m north of the entrance to the City Palace. The temple was built by Maharana Jagat Singh in 1651.
Sajjan Niwas Garden
This city is famous not only for lakes, but also gardens. There are lot of gardens in the city and we had time to visit only one of such garden.
From Udaipur we traveled to Jaipur, the Pink City.
Distance: Udaipur ---> Jaipur 405 kms
P.S: December is the month when lot of tourists land in Rajasthan. So if you really want all the arrangements to be done properly this has to be done before October end.

Bangalore, The Garden City
Bangalore, popularly known as Pensioner's Paradise or Silicon Valley. It is also known as the "Garden City of India", as there are many public parks and one can experience greenery on either side of the city roads. It is feast to the eyes as it is adorned with beautiful landscapes, flowers and hedges all through the city. Some of the trees across the city roads and parks are even as old as the city itself.
But sadly due to the rate at which the city is growing, from Garden City it is fast being converted into a concrete jungle. To add to this the trees on either side of the roads are cut in the name of resolving traffic problem by building flyovers, underpass and metro. There are instances where roads could have been made on either side of the trees by leaving those trees intact. But with no protest or awareness in the citizens this will continue to happen. I am afraid one day, 'The Garden City' title will no longer make sense for Bangalore.

We still have some greenery left in the city because of some parks such as
In the days to come we will explore finer details of some of these parks.

In the days to come we will explore finer details of some of these parks.
