Cattle Egret at Bhitarkanika

Bhitarkanika National Park is home for many common as well as rare birds. We could spot some cattle egrets here as there are cattle gazing in this area.

Very beautiful bird. I see many of these birds near paddy fields near where we live.

We see those here as well. It's fun to know we have some of the same birds!

Nice shot. Wish the egret could have posed on the cattle's back!

Looks like he has a tawny or even muted yellow head. The cattle egrets we see here in the states are all white. very pretty bird!

A really nice bird. We sometimes get cattle egrets over here as well.

Great photos and I think cattle egrets must be dispersed over most of the world - we have them out here in Australia as well.
