Birds in Neighbourhood - 22

I get to see variety of birds in the back yard of my parents house in Udupi. I have captured few of them in my camera and here they are. One such beautiful bird is Peahen.

They are mostly brown with a white belly, a green neck and the same type of head crest.

Their diet include plant parts, flower petals, seed heads, insects and and reptiles.

I have heard of pea hens, but this is the first time I have seen one. This fellow looks quite well fed off of his health diet. He looks like he’s had such a fine time he needs a rest :-)

I'm painting a peacock right now. The hen is so much more subdued.
